Jobs, Taxes, Economy

Americans have been out of work and our economy has been sliding backwards for too long.

The current administration told us that the unemployment rate would not go any higher than 8.5%, but today with 10.2% of Americas unable to find employment, it is clear that the “solutions” provided by Washington have failed. Our country is facing record deficits and the news only seems to get worse each day. It is time that we face the facts: liberal elites and career politicians in Congress have been playing Monopoly with our children’s money. It has to stop!

In Washington, I will:

  • Fight for lower taxes and oppose initiatives that seek to grow the size of government.
  • Support reforms that are fair and simplify our burdensome and outdated tax code while reducing the tax burden on small businesses.
  • Support initiatives that encourage growth and job creation to help get our economy back on track. Our economic policies must foster business creation and expansion. We must encourage individuals to start small businesses and invest in our economy by removing bureaucratic red tape and burdensome taxes.

Although Healthcare is an important issue – the number one issue facing America today is getting our economy back on track and out of the terrible job market – and the trillion dollar stimulus packages and bailouts don’t work. We need real, commonsense solutions and Congress doesn’t seem to have a clue how as to do it. Stimulus packages that rob money from our children’s future to give the career politicians short-term gratification is simply wrong. The whole national democrat ideology of deficit spending will destroy any chances our children and grandchildren will have to be able to achieve the American dream because they’ll be spending time paying back the money these career politicians stole. Congress needs to quit trying to fix the economy with more massive stimulus bills and more government takeovers.

Congress needs to quit trying to fix the economy with more massive stimulus bills and more government. We need to cut taxes, across the board for everyone and every business, and reduce government expenditures. We also need to reduce the regulations and paperwork on small businesses. Congress should simply get out of the way and let the entrepreneurial spirit of the American people get us out of this mess! What is needed is all Americans need to defeat career politicians – from both parties – and elect common-sense conservatives and real leaders to Congress.
